Ineffective Pearly Penile Papules Removal Methods

Ineffective Pearly Penile Papules Removal Methods

There are many pearly penile papules removal methods that don’t work including some that can possibly do more harm. These methods include tea tree oil, castor oil, bio-oil, iodine, wart removal cream (topical podophyllotoxin), alpha hydroxy acid, toothpaste, calamine lotion, oatmeal, and any creams, gels, or ointments claiming to remove them.

Common Non-Science Based Claims

There are four most common claims that are not science-based in how they work to remove pearly penile papules. These ineffective methods include antimicrobial, drying, chemical, and moisturizing agents.

Antimicrobial Removal Methods

Many methods of removing pearly penile papules that are not science-based include antimicrobial oils, ointments, creams, and/or gels. Antimicrobial agents will not help to remove pearly penile papules because the histology is different from any skin condition caused by infectious microbes that can be removed or dirty pores that can be cleaned. Pearly penile papules are an overgrowth of tissue (benign tumors) on the epithelial (outermost) skin layer of the penis head.

Pearly penile papules skin tissue is made from fibroblasts cells. The fibroblast cells make connective tissue and collagen to form the papules. The fibroblast cells of the pearly penile papules have to be completely destroyed to prevent any recurrence when removed.

Drying Agents Removal Methods

The method of removing pearly penile papules with drying agents is not science-based. The pearly penile papules are not caused by moisture or fluid inside them. Any agent used to dry out the pearly penile papules will not remove the fibroblasts that the papules are created from and will not absorb moisture or fluid from them.

The drying agent method normally uses a form of scraping the pearly penile papules to remove them after the drying agent is applied that can cause damage to healthy skin. Scraping the papules after drying will not remove them.

Chemical Removal Methods

There are chemical methods of removing other skin conditions that are not safe or useful for pearly penile papules. The chemical agents are used to prevent skin growths’ cell replication or exfoliate the skin.

The chemical agent that prevents skin cell replication that removes genital warts can damage healthy skin cells when used for pearly penile papules that are not significantly raised lesions unlike warts on the penis. The less damaging or no damage-causing exfoliating chemical agents only help to remove dead skin cells from the top of the epidermis (outermost skin layer) and not the pearly penile papules fibroblast cells.

Moisturizing Removal Methods

Moisturizing removal methods for pearly penile papules are not science-based. Moisturizing removal methods only help to temporarily diminish some of the appearance of the pearly penile papules by causing the penis head skin to be more even with the raised papules from the additional moisture that’s held in causing a plumping effect of the surrounding skin.

Moisturizing agents are normally used for soothing purposes and appearance reduction in oils, creams, ointments, or gels. Some moisturizing agents may have other properties that are not science-based in removing the cells that cause pearly penile papules.

Tea Tree Oil

Tea tree oil from the Melaleuca alternifolia plant is known for having antimicrobial properties and is commonly used to treat acne at a 5 percent concentration. Tea tree oil does not remove pearly penile papules because they are histologically different from acne-related pimples and are not caused by bacteria.

Castor Oil

Castor oil from Riccinus communis plant is known for having moisturizing and antimicrobial properties. Castor oil does not remove pearly penile papules because they are not caused by microbes and retaining moisture in the penis head skin does not reduce or damage the papules structure.

Bio-oil

Bio-oil is a blend of mineral oil and plant oils that is used to reduce the appearance of scars and help moisturize the skin. Bio-oil does not remove pearly penile papules because they are skin growths, not scars, and moisturizing them does not remove them.

Iodine

Iodine tincture is normally used as an antimicrobial agent on wounds or as a skin disinfectant before surgery. During a non-science based treatment for pearly penile papules removal, iodine tincture is used as a drying agent for the papules. Iodine tincture does not remove pearly penile papules because they are not caused by moisture or fluid.

Wart Removal Cream

Wart removal cream, also known as topical podophyllotoxin, is a chemical agent used to treat warts on the skin by preventing the cells of the wart from replicating causing the dead cells from the wart to fall off and be replaced by healthy skin cells. Wart removal cream has not shown to be effective in removing pearly penile papules. Wart removal cream also can damage healthy cells on the penis head and possibly inside the urethra from indirect placement on the surrounding skin by the pearly penile papules.

Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs)

Alpha hydroxy acids, also known as AHAs, is a chemical agent that can be made from any combination of naturally-derived or synthetically-derived glycolic, lactic, mandelic, tartaric, and citric acids that helps to exfoliate the skin. Alpha hydroxy acids do not remove pearly penile papules because it does not destroy pearly penile papules fibroblast cells and only exfoliates dead skin cells.

Toothpaste

Toothpaste is used as a drying and antimicrobial agent during a non-science based pearly penile papules removal session. Many kinds of toothpaste contain baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) that helps it to be abrasive for stain removal during appropriate use and to dry out the skin during pearly penile papules removal use. Toothpaste does not remove pearly penile papules because they are not created by fluid, moisture, or microbes and need their fibroblast cells destroyed to remove them.

Calamine Lotion

Calamine lotion is normally used to treat itching skin. Calamine lotion is used as a drying agent for pearly penile papules removal. Calamine lotion does not remove pearly penile papules because they are not created by fluid or moisture and need the fibroblast cells destroyed.

Oatmeal

Oatmeal is used as a drying agent for non-science based pearly penile papules removal and to soothe the skin. Oatmeal does not remove pearly penile papules because they are not caused by moisture or fluid and it does not destroy the fibroblast cells.

Creams, Gels, and Ointments

Any cream, gel, or ointment that is advertised to remove pearly penile papules is highly likely (estimation through research is 99.9 percent) to be false claims. Creams, gels, and ointments have to be able to destroy the fibroblast cells on top of the skin’s dermis layer (inner layer) that make the skin tissue in pearly penile papules. Any cream, gel, or ointment that has the ability to destroy the fibroblast cells will also destroy healthy tissue because they do not directly target only the papules. The only known cream to have a similar effect is wart removal cream that prevents the replication of skin cells but it has also shown to be highly ineffective for pearly penile papules removal.

The Effective Method

With all the ineffective methods to remove pearly penile papules by yourself, there is one method that works like treatments at dermatology clinics.

The only known effective method for pearly penile papules removal at home uses direct thermal ablation to get rid of the papules and their fibroblast cells without damaging the surrounding skin.
